The Dysfunction of Relationships: Sin

Ever have trouble in a relationship with a girl thats not family?

It's harder when shes a little more attractive isn't it?

I think the why both of these questions arise because of a simple answer: the sin of lust.
Whether we lust for sex of lust of power over them. The lust in our relationship that we have towards them becomes a huge problem.

In a romantic relationship, I heard once that the goal of a relationship isn't happiness, but holiness. And that makes so much sense to me now. Trying to do anything to become happy really ruins your relationship with the opposite sex and even the same sex. When puruing holiness, order and true perfect love is formed and restored.

Lust is such a killer to relationships. It can break relationships that were meant to be right as well. So men, it is my hope that as you interact with women, remember not to lust and really assess yourself in your conducts with them and know that they aren't perfect and don't allow them to lust for you as well. Rid your lives from lust! Relationships were meant to be so much more than two people lusting after each other.
