O no he didnt! Lets talk about Sex and Lust

Oh no I didn't! Oh but I did.

Lets talk about sex and lust. What are they? I have a problem with them. And I can't conquer it on my own.

What are ways to fight lust? Can we do it alone?
Should we monitor everything we watch and listen to?
Is masturbation wrong? How far is too far for a Christian man of God?
Are there sexual morals for those who don't know God?
What's so bad about pornography?

The taboo subject is out in the open. Let us be open and honest about it. I think it needs to be discussed and addressed as men who really love each other.

    in my own understanding,

    i feel like pornography is a problem but at the same time it is a root to a deeper problem.

    for me sometimes it can root from my disrespect from women and more of over disrespect for myself. I feel for myself I dont respect myself and view myself as a piece of meat and that lets my views reflect on people.

    if i am shallow with myself i become shallow with other people and that leads me to wanting shallow things and not respecting women like i should

    There is also stimuli from the media and we need to really control our thoughts

    a mentor of mine quoted from rick warren, you can always let the birds fly over your head but dont let the bird make a nest in your head

    stimuli is hard for us as men because we are such visual creatures

    i feel like its in harry potter where we control our thoughts with occulmency. you really gota just concentrate hard
    its no easy battle

    in the end we need to be humble and recognize we have this problem and know that we cannot deal with it on our owns
    brother we need to help each other
    self control is not about the strength of the person it is the submission to a will greater than ours.

    Praise God, Praise God, Praise God.

    Lead us not into temptation, and deliver us from evil.

    We will be led into temptation but believe that God can deliver us from evil.

    man these questions are definitely challenging to answer but i have heard really awesome responses to them.

    all in all...is masturbating bringing worship to God or me as a male? society is already feeling the consequences of masturabation in there relationships, marriages, etc.

    pleasure is given by God but the enemy transforms it into something disgusting and offensive to a perfect God.
